PCAQ COMPETITION RULES

We highly recommend every competitor purchases the PCAQ Rule Book for each discipline, not only will you understand what you are meant to be doing but it will eliminate any unnecessary and unfortunate mistakes in competition!  The costs of these books is $5.50 each and can be ordered directly from PCAQ.  Click here for the Booklist and here for the Order Form.

What does Level 6 Mean?

Due to the current water level restrictions the Brisbane City Council is advising us how we are to use water as a Pony Club.  The link below provides you with the information you need to know about level 6 water restrictions that is in effect now.

IF YOU WISH TO RIDE IN A MUSTER YOU MUST HAVE PAID FOR YOUR RIDING MEMBERSHIP IN FULL.... NO PAYMENT, NO MUSTER.

TO POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS.

 

 

 

 

Riding on Mt Gravatt District Horse and Pony Club Grounds:

 

Please note that anyone riding on Pony Club grounds MUST BE either, a full financial riding member of Mount Gravatt District Horse & Pony Club, OR an EFA accredited rider.

 

Anyone else must sign a LIABILITY, WAIVER, RELEASE AND INDEMNITY FORM found on this website under Forms and Secretarial.  The cost of riding on our grounds will be $15 each time!  If you are selling a horse and having people ride your horse on the grounds this also applies. 

 

Dumping of Horses will be reported immediately to RSPCA and removed.

 

Leaving a horse on MGDH&PC Pony Club grounds, other than Agisted horses,  at anytime without full permission from the Committee will be dealt with severely and will jeopardise your membership at MGDH&PC.

Mount Gravatt District Horse and Pony Club Inc. have been Incorporated since the 5th December, 1987.  IA: 03572 

Please Note: 

At all events including musters please park your car if you do not have a float in the carparking area or much further up the hill so that all cars with floats can access the flat areas.

All horses to be washed only at the wash bays, please also be mindful of water restrictions and do not hose down horses unnecessarily but keep water usage to an absolute minimum for health and welfare water use only.

No changes to the club grounds, stables, paddocks etc of any kind are allowed without the express permission of the Management Committee.

No tying up of horses to the canteen fence at musters.  Please always secure your horse to your float or in the pens.

Horses are only to be fed in the pens or whilst tied to a float.  Horses can be potentially harmful to people or other horses during feeding so please confine them at these times.

Vehicles and floats are prohibited from being driven past the Club House.

All floats must be secured to a vehicle if you intend to tie your horse to that float.

Don't forget to get a gear check near the canteen at the musters by the Chief Instructor before you start to ride at the muster and make sure you dismount and are officially dismissed by the Chief Instructor at the end of the muster too!

All members are reminded to be courteous and considerate to one another at all times and behave responsibly and reasonably around horses both in events, musters or everyday times.

The cost of using the lights is $10 per hour, using the lights without permission will result in the cancellation of you membership and/or your agistment.

All riders under 16 years of age must have an adult guardian present at all times.

NO UNAUTHORISED use of the Club telephone is permitted.  Please do not use the telephone for any phone calls unless in an emergency.

Please adhere to the strict speed limit of 10km/h or walking pace only at all times. 

Drivers are reminded to take extreme care whilst driving the the club grounds at all times. All drivers must hold a current and valid drivers license in order to drive on MGDH&PC grounds.

MOTORBIKES AND OTHER MACHINERY ARE STRICTLY FORBIDDEN UNLESS PERMISSION IS GRANTED BY THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE ONLY.

The riding of bicycles etc are not recommended at the club but are strictly prohibited at any musters, events etc.

The minimum safety attire required to ride on MGDH&PC grounds are a PCAQ approved helmet. AS/NZ 3838, EN 1384, ASTM F1163 or better with an effective chin strap.  Helmets tested to AS2063 may no longer be worn. Boots with smooth soles and elastic sides unless you are an adult rider.

Note:  If you are leaving MGDH&PC and joining another club you must receive a clearance form from the Secretary.
